Ben Cartwright had his first outright win in the Pirelli Ferrari Formula Classic last weekend at Snetterton. The meeting was a double header consisting of a 20 minute race on the Saturday and a 30 minute race on the Sunday. He claimed pole position for the first race and finished second after a close duel with the race victor David Tomlin and 3rd place William Jenkins.
The grid positions for the second race were determined by the results from the first. Ben challenged for the lead from the start and after some exiting racing (again with Tomlin) made it into 1st and eventually pulled out a lead to win by a comfortable margin.
Brother Jamie who won last year finished 3rd in each race after an epic charge from the back of the grid where he had to start from after failing to qualify on Saturday morning due to technical problems.
