We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day at Oulton part for the Aston Martin and Pirelli Ferrari Classic meeting on the 12th of May. A respectable grid of 20 cars turned out for the meeting.
Pole man Jamie Cartwright made a poor start allowing 2nd on the grid Marrs to gain the lead and 3 rd place Ben C to grab second. Tomlin followed close behind in the Gulf coloured Ferrari 308 GTB with Danny Winstanley in 5th nursing a misfire which led him to retire early on in the race.
Nick also made a poor start and found himself stuck behind a wide Ferrari 308 GT4! Passing eventually he managed to catch Chris Butler who was homing in on Tim Walker. Nick failed to pass but enjoyed a good tussle with Butler. Bens car began misfireing on lap 2 and Tomlin was soon passed. Jamie made his way through the field and glued himself to the rear bumper of Marrs before taking the lead on lap 3 and remained there until the chequed flag with Marrs 2nd and Tomlin 3rd. Ben remained in 4th to take a class 3 win.
